Conclusion

As a conclusion, i wanted to add, that through out the course, we learnt, about different branches of applied linguistics, i personally liked, discourse analysis, because it is about, giving speech, and that's something i can enojoy the most!, we also learn more than that, we did presentations in which we were having feedback, so that we could improve the way we are giving an speech, and i think most of our classmates enjoyed the class, because it was all about the B.A.

Corpus linguistics

this is pretty similar to methods and there is a difference between it and corpora.

Sociolinguistics

As the book says, this is more than the study of language in society, it goes deeper, it focuses on different aspects.

Second language acquisition

This is when you are learning another language as the second one, and with this we saw how as a teacher we can create an environmente as it.

Psycolinguistics

We learnt that this is a combination betwee psycology and linguistics, it just studies how the brain functions with a person that is bilingual, we saw the "code swtiching" and we watched a video about a women who could speak really fast.

Pragmatics

At this unit, I remember we did some posters of ever subtopic we had, on our team we saw, working out implicated meaning, and it was about four maxims that were thruthfulness, informativeness, relevance and style.

Vocabulary

What we saw at thins unit, about vocabulary and how to teach it was that, we can find different ways in order to students can learn different new words, we work wit teams and we gave presentations with different exercises. Vocabulary it's really important the more we know different words and the more we apply them into daily routine , is going to be the more we are expressing ourselves better.

Grammar

Grammar is really important, to give the correct use of the language, grammar is made by a lot of rules, which has sometimes their exceptions, without grammar, we couldn't talk or write, or express what we would like to say in a correct way of understanding

Discourse analysis

Discourse analysis studies about text, spoken or written language and the relationship between a simple text and when you are reading it, the intention you are giving.
